Michael Todres, CPA
Managing Partner


Michael Todres is the Managing Partner of Todres & Company, LLP. Mr. Todres maintains a close personal relationship with the owners and senior managers of our clients and important members of the financial, legal, and consulting community in order to provide our clients with all resources that they require to meet their business objectives. Mr. Todres is involved with developing business strategies, including buying and selling businesses and obtaining debt and equity financing. Mr. Todres also assists our clients in hiring senior financial executives, succession planning, and executive coaching.

Mr. Todres is Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Director of the New York State Society of CPAs. He is also the Audit Committee Chairman of Temple Emanuel, New York City.

Mr. Todres received his undergraduate accounting degree at Bucknell University and his MS in Accounting at the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania.



Steven Cooperberg, CPA
Tax Partner


Steven Cooperberg is a Tax Partner of Todres & Company, LLP. Mr. Cooperberg has been with the firm for over 16 years, advising clients as to the tax entities to operate under, inter-company tax planning, tax preparation and tax representation. Additionally, Mr. Cooperberg is involved with the overall tax planning with family groups, retirement planning and coordination of client's investments and tax strategies. Mr. Cooperberg had formerly worked with a top 50 CPA firm and prior to that, worked as a field agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Cooperberg received his BS degree in accounting and his MS degree in taxation from Pace University. He is a member of the Employer Advisory Board of CW Post College and has lectured extensively on various tax topics before many diverse industry groups.



Paul Faraca, CPA
Tax Manager


Paul Faraca, CPA, a Senior Tax Manager at Todres & Company, LLP, has been with the firm for over ten years. Mr. Faraca assists our corporate and individual tax clients with all compliance-related issues, and he has particular expertise in handling multi-state entities and investment partnerships.

Mr. Faraca has developed proprietary methods that provide for extremely cost-effective preparation of complex tax returns.



Thokmas Kelly

Thomas Kelly, CPA
Audit Manager


Thomas Kelly, an Audit Manager at Todres & Company, LLP, has been with the firm for over ten years.  Mr. Kelly has extensive experience coordinating and managing the financial statement audits of nonpublic and not-for-profit entities.  Mr. Kelly advises our audit clients in the areas of internal controls, laws and regulations, reporting requirements and trends, and tax-related considerations.

Mr. Kelly received his undergraduate accounting degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.



Craig Hesekiel, CPA
Audit Manager


Craig Hesekiel, CPA is an Audit Manager at Todres & Company, LLP. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial services, Mr. Hesekiel specializes in providing audit and consulting services for private companies, not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans. He has significant experience performing audits of 401(k) plans, defined benefit pension plans, employee benefit health plans, and 403(b) plans. In addition, Mr. Hesekiel teaches continuing professional education courses to the firm’s audit staff. He has also served as the controller for a private company where he performed all accounting functions, including consulting in the selection of the company’s employee benefit plans. Mr. Hesekiel is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, frequently attending AICPA Employee Benefits conferences throughout the country. Mr. Hesekiel is a graduate of C.W. Post with a B.S. in Accounting.
